Nintendo Switch

Warframe is a free-to-play cooperative third-person shooter developed and published by Digital Extremes. Originally released in 2013, the game has seen enormous growth and evolution over its lifetime to become one of the most played games on Steam, with new updates published regularly.

Many of us at Panic Button have been huge supporters of Warframe, some even being Founders, making them some of the earliest to back the game. We were asked to bring the title to the Nintendo Switch. This task was made all the more complex by the game’s live nature and constant state of evolution. We relished this challenge.

Warframe game still

We worked closely with Digital Extremes to understand the needs of Warframe and their development team. The project kicked off in 2017 and launched in November 2018. We also helped to launch Fortuna (the largest open-world content in the game), create and publish skins for frames and weapons, and provide performance improvements to all platforms (PC, Xbox, PlayStation, and Nintendo Switch).

The team at Panic Button would like to give a special thanks to Sheldon Carter (COO, Digital Extremes), Steve Sinclair (Game Director, Digital Extremes), and Mark Ollivierre (Producer, Digital Extremes) for their amazing support and for working alongside us to bring this amazing game to the Nintendo Switch!

We are so excited to see what the future holds for all of the Nintennos…

Panic Button performance improvements for upcoming Switch Warframe… makes all versions of Warframe faster!
